Making custom wooden products and lots of sawdust…

About Me

What started as a teenager making wooden fishing lures in the garage with minimal tools has transitioned into an entirely new hobby.

Shortly after arriving at NC State to study Mechanical Engineering, I became involved with the Wood Studio at the Crafts Center. I started as a shop attendant, making sure people did not injure themselves or lose appendages on the various machines. During downtime on my shifts, I tinkered with different tools and taught myself a variety of techniques. After about a year, I transitioned into a technician role, where I performed both routine and reactive maintenance on all of the machinery.

I also teach classes at the Wood Studio. One is an introductory course in which students learn proper tool use and leave with their own cutting board. The other is a CNC (computer numerical control) router course, a more technical class in which students learn how to use the machine to complete several autonomous machining operations. As a side note, I am currently building a CNC of my own and hope to have it finished soon.

Woodworking offers a great blend of creativity and problem-solving, as well as an outlet for my ever-active mind. Over the past few years, I have slowly accumulated different machines and have set up shop in my parents’ garage—shoutout to Jen and Greg.

The goal of this site is to showcase some of my work and hopefully generate sales to keep this hobby going. Feel free to reach out if you have something custom in mind; I would be happy to work with you.
